Esch-sur-Alzette is a town in Luxembourg, capital of the canton of the same name. It is the country's second largest city after Luxembourg City. The city is rich in iron ore and is a major centre of the country's steel industry. It is a cosmopolitan city, since more than 30% of its inhabitants are foreigners. Esch-sur-Alzette has an important commercial activity. The city is also famous for its football club which was 28 times Luxembourg champion: the Esch Youth.
